Chris
Poland
After being kicked
out of Megadeth in 1987, guitarist Chris Poland released
a solo album called "Return to Metalopolis" (1990) with his brother
Mark Poland. They both resurfaced a few years later with new band Damn
the Machine.

After his untimely release
from Megadeth, Chris and his brother Mark released
this solo CD. Musically "Return to Metropolis" has some similarities
to Megadeth, but also bears some resemblence to other
shred masters like Joe Satriani.
I was a bit surprised by how metallic this album is. Chris is quite the shredder,
and on top of being a great soloist, he is also a good songwriter. "Return
to Metropolis" showcases a progressive mastery that would give a preview
to Chris and Mark's next project Damn
the Machine.
