S E R A I A H Seraiah - Carnival World (Pure Metal) 1990 1. "Carnival World"
(4:48) Seraiah were Christian metal's answer to Mötley Crüe's "Too Fast for Love," and honestly, besides the lame cover art, they did a pretty good job. There are a few songs that steer clear of the Crüe formula like "Let Him Take Control" which is a Led Zeppelin-esque mandolin song and "Fallen Heart" which is a speed metal song. This disc is hard as heck to find these days. I almost payed way too much on eBay, but I stumbled across this copy in the cut-out bins at a chain store for $2. It has a small punch hole through the cover, I think I can live with that. Oh, this group released a follow-up album that was pop-rock, so basically I wasn't interested. Drummer Kyle Dietz now owns a small indie label. Guitarist Quinton Gibson played with Whitecross for a short spell, I believe. |
