Twisted Sister -
Ruff Cutts
(Lizzy Works)
1. "What You
Don't Know" (5:28) An excellent collection of Twisted Sister rarities from Lizzy Works. Having the original "Ruff Cutts" is included in it's entirety. The four songs from the first two Twisted Sister 45 RPM singles are also included. AS well, there is an incredible live version of "Shoot 'Em Down" complete with a hilarious section of Dee telling off audience members who are throwing crap at them. Freakin' hystarical! Dee rules! The cover art, besides being a replica of the original "Ruff Cuts" also includes photos of the front and back of the two singles. |

Awesome bootleg that was originaly broadcast live on WBAB in NY. This show was recorded prior to "Under the Blade" being released. It contains a few rarities from that time, including "Summertime Blues" and "You Can't Stop Rock and Roll", which of course wasn't recorded until the band's sophmore follow-up to "Under the Blade." Of course all those early Twisted classics like "Lady's Boy" "You Know I Cry" are also included. Dee makes a promise to the crowd that "Lady's Boy" will be included on the follow-up to "Under the Blade", of course this never came to pass. The sound quality isn't bad considering the source was the radio and was probably taken from a cassette copy of that broadcast. As always Dee is the seminal enertainer and his in between song banter is as amusing and entertaining as the music itself. (A HUGE thanks for this one Chris & Trog.)

Ahhhhh, the complete shows from both nights of the legendary Marquee Club shows. Unlike the "Live At the Marquee" CD above, this one is a high quality audience recording. I'm actually surprised at the sound quality considering the source. Twisted Sister were at the top of their game here. They were tight as a band. The material is heavy, raw and in your face! Dee Snider was the ultimate entertainer and smack talker. Sometimes his in-between song banter is as amusing and entertaining as the songs themselves. Not much else to add other than to repeat what a great listen this collection is.
